Ultrafast Laser Welding of Silicon
نویسندگان
چکیده
While ultrafast laser welding is a well-established technique for bonding materials, it not applicable to the silicon–silicon configuration because of nonlinear propagation effects. In article number 2200300, Maxime Chambonneau and co-workers solve this issue by relocating filaments at interface where absorption exalted with metallic nanolayer, yielding remarkable shear joining strength values (>4 MPa).

Heat Transfer in Ultrafast Laser Tissue Welding
* Corresponding author, [email protected] ABSTRACT The objective of this research is to develop an appropriate model for simulating the transient heat transfer processes in tissue welding subject to irradiation of ultrashort laser pulses. The ultrafast laser tissue welding process is modeled in three steps. First, there is an immediate local temperature response due to radiation absorption d...
متن کاملLASER WELDING - Literature Review
Lasers are now being used in the automotive industry to produce seam or stitch welds, as alternatives to conventional resistance spot welding, which are used extensively for attaching auto-body panels to subassemblies. The advantages of laser welding over resistance spot welding result from the smallness of the laser spot size, the large penetration depth of the weld into the material and the r...

Special attention has been focused on creating an ergonomic operator station that is not intimidating. This guarantees fast and efficient work, without fatigue, for many hours. The operator sits in front of the welder and manually loads parts to be welded into the enclosure. The operator has a clear view of the processing area through a large laser-safe window of protective glass. The final pos...

Microsurgial suture (Conventional microsurgical suture repair, CMSR) is the most commonly used method for anastomosis of severed peripheral nerves. Functional recovery after this type of repair is often inadequate, however, even though the peripheral nervous system has a remarkable ability to regenerate adequate sizes and numbers of axons. The most significant problems with microsuture repair a...
